P7 Wear Yellow Walk

The P7 Wear Yellow Walk for St Andrews Hospice takes place tomorrow (Wed 3rd June).  As the weather is a little bit unpredictable at the moment and isn’t really feeling like June, could you please make sure all children come to school with sensible footwear and a waterproof jacket. We are sure they’ll have great fun and raise lots of money for a very worthwhile cause.

P7 Mascots!

Our P7 mascots had a night to remember at the Pearl Izumi Tour Series last night!  They couldn’t believe their luck when they got a free t-shirt before escorting the teams on to the podium, then to the start line and then again to receive their prizes!  Mrs Ashworth & Mrs Steel were extremely proud of them!IMG_20150527_150648 IMAG0121 IMAG0119 IMAG0116 IMAG0113 IMAG0110 IMAG0108 IMAG0081

Pearl Izumi Men’s Tour Cycle Race – Tuesday 26th May

Motherwell is hosting round 4 of the 2015 Pearl Izumi Tour Series. Several roads around the school will be closed from 7am until Midnight on the day of the race. Our Health & Safety Officer visited the school and confirmed that despite Douglas Street and Ladywell Road being closed it will be safe for children to walk to school on Tuesday 26th May 2015. All footways will still be available for use by the public. The cycle circuit is Hamilton Road, High Road, Farm Street, Ladywell Road and Douglas Street.   Barriers will be erected at 7am on these roads.  Access to areas within the circuit will be by designated crossing points.  These will be manned during the events. The closure of Ladywell Road at Douglas Street will not affect parents from using Wellview Drive to drop off pupils. Please note that there will be no Parent Car Park available on this day.  The Parents Car Park is being used as a Disabled Car Park and First Aid Area for the event. We suggest that as many children as possible walk to school on Tuesday 26th May 2015. If you have any further questions, please telephone the school and we will be happy to help.
